Alec Lamb
ALEC LAMB is a versatile percussionist and educator, hailing from Kansas City, Missouri. He recently completed his Master’s degree in Percussion Performance from Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, under the guidance of Professors Joseph Gramley, Kevin Bobo, and John Tafoya. Alec graduated from Truman State University in 2022 and 2023, earning Bachelor’s degrees in Music Performance and Music Education, and his Master of Arts in Education in Music. While at Truman, Alec studied under Dr. Michael Bump.
As a performer, Alec has earned a number of honors, including first place in both the solo and duet divisions of the 2021 Mid-Missouri Percussion Arts Trophy and earning Second Prize in the 2021 Enkor International Competition. Alec performed with the Troopers Drum and Bugle Corps and Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps, and has taught at River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps. Alec performed alongside the IU Percussion Ensemble at PASIC 2023 as a winner of the International Percussion Ensemble Competition.
