Alex Van Surksum

ALEX VAN SURKSUM is from Sheldon, IA, and recently graduated from Luther College with a degree in Music Education. His first in-person exposure to drum corps was in 2019 when RCR rehearsed at his middle school. Alex then joined the RCR Winter Experience in 2020 and marched contra with RCR from 2021 until he aged out in 2025. 

In his free time, Alex likes to hike, read, and spend time with friends and family. Alex is excited to join the RCR staff this summer!
