Haley Herem

HALEY HEREM, originally from Ellsworth, Wisconsin, recently received her Bachelor of Science degree in Music and Business Administration with a certificate in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire. She was involved in many ensembles during her time on campus, including the Blugold Marching Band, Wind Symphony, Symphony Band, Jazz Ensembles, and other various chamber ensembles. In her time with the Blugold Marching Band, she served as section leader and drum major. In addition, she also had the opportunity to direct the pep band on campus, the Blugold Athletic Band, as the President and Conductor of the organization for two years. 

Haley marched with River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps in 2024, where she served as drum major and aged out with the corps. While this was her only year marching in Drum Corps, she spent all of her high school and collegiate years in marching band. She is also very passionate about the visual arts, given that she spent the majority of her life performing and dancing. She grew up competing in many styles of dance, including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, and contemporary. 

Haley returns to River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps for her second year in a new role as Tour Director for the 2026 Drum Corps season, following her previous season as the Assistant Merchandise Coordinator. 

Outside of the marching arts, Haley currently resides in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where she works at a local jewelry store as a Sales Associate. In her free time, Haley enjoys running and being active, exploring Eau Claire with her friends, drinking coffee, thrifting, and supporting local businesses. She is currently researching and seeking out a graduate program to start in the Fall of 2026.
