Andrew Smits

ANDREW SMITS is excited to return to River City Rhythm for his second year as part of the percussion staff. Andrew spent his drum corps time with Govenaires, Colt Cadets, aged out with River City Rhythm in 2021, and is a prominent percussion instructor in the northern Wisconsin and Minnesota area.

After studying music education and percussion, Andrew graduated from University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in December of 2022. While at UW-Eau Claire, Andrew participated in several musical ensembles and spent 2020 and 2021 as the writer and arranger for the UWEC Blugold Marching Band Drumline. Currently, Andrew currently serves as the 6-12 Band Director at Durand-Arkansaw Middle and High School in Durand, Wisconsin.
