Blake Stanfield

Blake Stanfield is the percussion director at Dawson High School in Spring Texas. In his spare time he arranges/composes percussion music and spends time with his wife and their dog.

Blake spent his time in school pursuing a bachelor’s degree in music education from the Moores School of Music at the University of Houston where he studied with Alec Warren and Dr. Blake Wilkins. During his time at the Moores School of Music, Blake served as the principal percussionist for the Symphonic Wind Ensemble and was a performer in the percussion ensemble program.

In addition to his time in school Blake has performed with many independent ensembles such as The Guardians Drum and Bugle Corps, The Oregon Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, The Cavaliers Drum and Bugle Corps, Monarch Independent and Lone Star Independent Percussion ensemble. Blake is also a proud endorser of Salyers Percussion products.
