Garrison Kizzier

GARRISON KIZZIER is a percussion educator from Maple Grove, Minnesota. He teaches year-round with RCR’s bassline, working with both the indoor drumline and the drum corps. In addition to RCR, he teaches at Andover High SChool and also works as the battery coordinator at Lakeville Area Percussion. He has formerly taught with Grove Area Percussion and Irondale High School.

Garrison stumbled into the marching arts as a clueless high school freshman, becoming an inaugural member of Grove Area Percussion in 2015. He went on to march with River City Rhythm Indoor ('20-'23), River City Rhythm Drum & Bugle Corps ('21), and the Blue Knights Drum & Bugle Corps ('22). Throughout those years, he bounced around the battery - though he spent most of his early seasons playing snare or quads, he would finally find his true calling as a bass drummer to finish out his marching career.

Between clicking sticks and checking dots, Garrison is currently pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture at Dunwoody College of Technology. Outside of school and teaching, he works with his family business doing residential remodeling, and he occasionally works gigs as a freelance AV technician, as well.
