Shannon Curtis

SHANNON CURTIS currently teaches High School Band and Music Production at Buffalo High School in Buffalo, Minnesota. He joins the RCR team in 2026 to serve as the Recruiting Manager. Shannon has held various leadership roles in Minnesota music organizations including serving as President and Mentorship Coordinator for the Minnesota Band Directors Association. Throughout his career he has directed high level marching ensembles. Most notably, he spent 8 years as the head director and creative designer for River Valley Sound, a WGI Scholastic Winds group, building that ensemble into a consistently successful performing group with multiple WGI World Championship Finals appearances.

Shannon is excited to join the RCR team and continue working with passionate, high level marching performers. His goal is to provide consistent and individualized support to every RCR member throughout the audition and contracting process. Additionally he hopes to help grow RCR’s presence as an organization aimed to support and diversify music education opportunities for students in Minnesota and beyond!
