Calvin Stromwall

CALVIN STROMWALL is an active percussion educator and arranger based in the Twin Cities area and is excited to be returning to River City Rhythm this season as the Percussion Caption Head. He is also a Front Ensemble Instructor for the Eden Prairie High School Winter Drumline, Front Ensemble Arranger of the EPHS Eagle Band, and Front Ensemble Coordinator for RCR's Indoor Drumline.

Calvin received his Bachelor’s Degree in Percussion Performance from the University of Minnesota, participating in their Percussion Ensemble, Wind Ensemble, and Symphony Orchestra. While studying at the U, Calvin spent five years performing with MBI Indoor Percussion, serving as section leader of the front ensemble for his last two seasons. In the summer season, he marched with the Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps in 2018 and the Santa Clara Vanguard from 2019-2021, earning a bronze medal and the Fred Sanford Award for best percussion in 2019.
