Pat Miller
PAT MILLER is a full-time visual designer who has been involved in the world of pageantry arts for over 35 years. Originally starting his career as a performer with the Garfield Cadets, Pat has been involved with several DCI, WGI, and BOA programs. He has worked with The Cadets, Glassmen, Blue Knights, Phantom Regiment, Troopers, Louisiana Stars and is the current visual designer for the River City Rhythm Open Class Drum & Bugle Corps out of Minnesota. Pat has worked with several state champion scholastic programs including Braden River(FL), Hialeah Gardens(FL), & Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology(VA). Since its founding in 2017, Pat has been the visual designer for Horizon Winds, an Independent WGI Winds ensemble from Sarasota, Florida. Horizon Winds is a six-time WGI medalist, most recently the 2025 Winds Independent World Class bronze medalists. Pat is also on the design team for the 2025 River City Rhythm Winds in their debut season, receiving the silver medal at WGI in Winds Independent Open Class.
Pat earned his Music Education degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia and spent 25 years as a MS and HS Band Director. He is an active marching band adjudicator throughout the Southeast and Midwest and in 2011 was a guest conductor at the University of Georgia Middle School Band Festival in Athens, Georgia. From 2005-2022, he was the Middle and Upper School Director of Bands at The Out-of-Door Academy, a PreK-12 independent college preparatory school in Sarasota, Florida. Pat now lives in the Asheville, NC area with his wife Julia and their two dogs.
