Grant Goulson
GRANT GOULSON is a Minneapolis-based music educator, composer, and performer, currently serving as Director of Middle School Bands for Tri-City United Public Schools.
Grant earned his BM in Music Education from the University of Minnesota–Duluth in 2021, where he was recognized with the Fanfare Award for outstanding service to the Department of Music and served as Winds Sergeant of the Bulldog Marching Band.
In addition to his responsibilities with Tri-City United, Grant is an active marching arts educator and consultant, and works with ensembles across Minnesota including the Montevideo Marching Band, River City Rhythm Drum and Bugle Corps, The Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Champlin Park High School Marching Rebels.
Grant is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME), the Minnesota Music Educators Association (MMEA), and the Minnesota Band Directors Association (MBDA). In 2025, he was nominated for Tri-City United Education Association Educator of the Year.
Outside the classroom, Grant enjoys performing on low brass and piano throughout the Twin Cities, watching basketball, and spending time in Minnesota’s northwoods and along the North Shore of Lake Superior.
